🍽️ NoshGridBot

NoshGridBot is the web crawler for NoshGrid, a community app for finding restaurant deals. It visits restaurant websites to find publicly posted specials — happy hours, weekly deals, coupons — and lists them on NoshGrid with a link back to the page they came from.

How it behaves

• Identifies as NoshGridBot/1.0 (+https://noshgrid.com/bot)
• Obeys robots.txt, including User-agent: NoshGridBot rules
• Fetches at most a few pages per site, roughly once per day, seconds apart
• Stores only deal facts (discount, schedule, dates) — never photos, menus, or page text
• Every listed deal links to your website; we send diners to you

Where our restaurant directory comes from

Venue names, addresses, and website links in our directory include data from 312Deals, Overture Maps Foundation, and OpenStreetMap contributors. Deals themselves come from each restaurant's own website or from our community.
